The new JING restaurant/nightclub location in Las Vegas, the vision of owner Charlie Huang and executive chef Thomas Griese, is equipped with a sound reinforcement system to support DJs and live performances that incorporates E11EVEN Sound components in a project under the direction of Mikey Zaglin, the venue’s music director.
“Our challenge was to find a system that was versatile enough to handle background dinner music for a five-star restaurant during the day, as well as punchy and powerful sound for a high-end nightclub in the evening,” explains Zaglin. “I researched all the major manufacturers, and when I heard the E11EVEN Sound system at a club in Miami I immediately knew it was what we wanted for JING. It was the only system I’ve heard that could deliver the power but also the clarity.”
Zaglin turned to Matt Frandsen of SoundBite Productions, who connected him with Nightclub national sales manager John Fiorito to design and commission the system. Randy White of Washington Music Center provided the components and Guillermo “Willy” Rodriguez of Willy-Tech Services installed the system, with engineer Geovanni Ortiz providing tuning utilizing the Rational Acoustics Smaart platform.
The main system utilizes eight E11EVEN Sound ES-10 10-inch loudspeakers with eight ES-212 dual 12-inch subwoofers to bolster the low end. The DJ booth is outfitted with a pair of Action-508A active two-way cabinets and an Altea-718 sub.
Out in the main dining area, E11EVEN Sound Quantum Series compact loudspeakers maintain a more subtle mood, with eight Q-3 3-inch boxes, eight more Q-23 dual 3-inch systems, and six Q-10 10-inch compact subs all driven by EP-6K4 and EP-450 amplification.
“We knew from the early planning stages that JING Las Vegas had to set a new standard,” concludes general manager Robert Velez. “We auditioned several different sound systems, but nothing came close to what E11EVEN Sound could deliver. We get customers all the time telling us that JING has some of the best sound in the Vegas area. It’s simply the best.”
